We came on board to help GVG grow their presence within the media in the East African Region. Although they have operations in Uganda and Tanzania, they have not been very proactive in their media engagements and needed to foster relationships and breed familiarity within the East African media as a whole. The company also needed to identify avenues for generating discussions around their sector: Big Data Analysis and Regulatory Technology.
By taking a pan African approach in our engagements, we curated strategic third party content for them that seeks to build thought leadership around issues concerning RegTech solutions, tax compliance, big data and cyber security and pitch them to the relevant publication in the target country. Our content took the form of opinion articles, feature stories and press releases. We also approached credible third parties to provide the byline for the opinion articles we draft.
Our approach secured placement of a feature story in Tanzania’s The Citizen Newspaper.
We were also able to secure publication of opinion pieces in The East African Newspaper and the Daily Monitor Newspaper in Uganda. Further to this, we secured interviews for members of GVG’s leadership with The Standard Newspaper in Kenya and CIO East Africa.
